had the chance to live in san francisco for nearly a decade, and worked with community members here locally and throughout the state. i worked with the california state democratic party to get them to support the green new deal, and currently sit on the san francisco league of conservation voters. so as i look to serve this city in this new capacity, i have taken the time to watch each full committee from 2021, reviewed over 50 resolutions since 2010, and reviewed the six annual reports published by the position. with this background, i do recognize there is more to do and more to learn as this department looks to grow and achieve its very aggressive and necessary milestones with our climate action plan, and i look forward to developing that knowledge, along with supporting the department. >> chairman: mr. hunt, when were you appointed to sfpuc citizens' advisory committee? >> i believe in 2020. >> chairman: and so how many meetings have you gone to of that c.a.c.? >> that c.a.c., i served on both the committee and the sub-committee on waste. so i attended, i believe, seven committee meetings for the c.a.c., and an additional five, i believe, for the sub-commit

san francisco. juan, all of them are run by liberal democrats. what will this liberal democrat president do for them starting today? >> i don't think crime is limited to big cities. i think big cities are where most people live and you have the most incidents. the president is focused on guns, bill. he is focused on guns for the reason that even as crime according to the f.b.i. was down 6% last year in the early indicators to this year continues to be down, most crime is property crime and it is down about 8%. we are seeing a shocking rise in terms of murder, murder with guns. up 25%. and when you stop and think about that, you know, you say where are these guns coming from especially in these big cities that you reference? these are not guns being bought in gun shops. they are being trafficked and illegal transactions, and the question is how do you get them out of here? how do you deal with it? the president will also talk about ghost guns, background checks. the things that most americans, republican and democrat agree need to be done to contr
