powells. maybe perhaps some of the most important ones you've heard of course, this is the number above the founding fathers, benjaminnklin was a guest here, john adams, abigail adams, lafayette, and our beloved martha washington did come very close friends with the powells. they actually lived, they might have known each other earlier but they probably started developing the friendships from 1780s when the washingtons lived next door. sam, would you like to talk a little bit more about the washingtons relationship with the powells? >> absolutely kayla thank you. so as kayla said, they lived next door. washingtons lived next door to the powells in 1781 -- 1782. this image is actually from 1800. it is an engraving of third street. stun by an artist named william virtually powell's house itself is just in the background. the house the washingtons rented was right next door to that. so they were there for just a few months. during those few months is really when they started to develop a close friendship. kayla is right ever was going to the powell house at that point. and of course you are a washington fan he is one of
