foxx flew over that area this morning where the colorado fire is burning. cal fire says 700 acres have burned since this fire started friday night at palo colorado canyon that's south of carmel by the sea. the fire is now 35% contained so far. there are no reports of any serious injuries here. the fire did damage one building, and it's threatening hundreds of others. still more than 500. people remain under a mandatory evacuation order. the fire may have also damaged the water supply system in that area. moderate county health officials are asking residents to boil their tap water and cal fire says the wind driven flames came dangerously close to the world famous bixby creek bridge in big surf. fortunately the bigsby bridge is still intact. the fire has not burned it. it's a beautiful, iconic bridge. and so that's obviously very good news. the fire did burn right up to it, but did not damage the bridge. the fire also forced the closure of a long stretch of highway one in monterey county. there's no word at this point on when it will reopen. a group that pro
