to give you a provocative question about that, which you cite in the book from representative jamie raskin, who observes that throughout our history, when we've had big demographic changes that has never occurred without violence and upset, i'm not saying or suggesting that is the main factor at play here, but is it a factor and why again? why now? i mean, i'll let major talk a little bit about this because he's been covering the the phenomenon that surrounded trump over many years. but i also think we have an incentive that's out of whack right now. it is we're facing some difficult times and there might be some difficulties that normally along with that. but unlike the original sin of slavery that, we had to get past during the civil war or the ongoing issues related to the civil rights movement of the vietnam war, where there were real substantive divisions the issues of whether our elections are secure. that's not at issue in the country. that's all a lie. our elections are more secure than they've ever been. we talk about this, the book. we have more paper ballots than we've ever had.

marka nd jamie raskin served as cochairs of the pac with me, and i think we have fine-tuned -- and evan brown is somewhere here -- we've really fine-tuned the work of the cpc-pac and we will continue to do that, along with when i came in, the three stools of the triangle that i wanted to really help build were, one, the caucus, the work we do inside congress, the cpc itself. the second was the cpc-pac. and the third was the congressional progressive caucus center and congressional progressive caucus action fund, which are resources for organizing and policy and research. and also sent about seven or eight fellows to the hill to be in our offices to work on policy. that organization is also now a $4 million organization we have built in the last four years, with a whole group of people. so we are really building all the tools of the triangle. rep. omar: no, nothing to add. you have done, and the progressive caucus, have pooled their resources together and have done an incredible job in supporting our slate of candidates. many of us have utilize our old pacs as well to support. i look for
