when that happens, you get into el nino and typically during el nino year, you see the jet stream kind of change position a bit. we get wet. what weather wetter weather i should say to the south. we get warmer weather to the north and then drier weather in the area that you see in the ohio valley. but notice we're kind of in between. right? so for us, it's not quite as specific of an indicator, but what it can do is suggest a better connection between storm systems and atmospheric rivers, meeting stronger systems. and that's kind of what we're seeing set up here that's headed toward the pacific northwest as we speak with that low pressure tracks and it taps into that atmospheric river of moisture. so it's just really deep moisture sometimes called the pineapple express because it comes from far back in the pacific towards hawaii. and then it intensifies the snow or rain depending on season wherein it intensifies those totals. so that's what we're seeing set up right now with the system that's headed to the pacific northwest. you can see where some of those yellows and oranges are. that
