be careful making their way across the central valley, expecting some deaths to leave fog in the central valley late tonight early tomorrow morning. but when you get up there, plenty of snow in some cold temperatures go along with that high tomorrow, south lake tahoe, only 39 degrees. 39 incline about 42 degrees in reno. but yeah, around the state some pretty comfortable numbers. 70's in southern california. the central valley, though tuli fog makes a pretty tricky. now. keep those temperatures down just a bit about 58 degrees in sacramento and 59 degrees in fresno the door. right now. we've got clear skies going to lead to a cold frosty night around the bay area. some chilly temperatures dropping down near freezing maybe after easing in some spots in the north, a specially tomorrow, mostly sunny, beautiful, dry thanksgiving day. and really the rest of the week looks fantastic. lots of sunshine, cool temperatures at night. but by day, fairly mild and you'll see a lot of sunshine, high pressure taking over that ridge going to stick around now for a bit back to probably for the next few da

that is down in the central valley. president trump visited that area and held a rally in the coachella valley to drum up support. let's start there. that's incumbent ken calvert, the longest serving california republican. he is defending his seat against democrat will rollins. the republican does have a slight advantage 51-48, still very close race. let's go to district 47 in orange county. democrat dave mann, republican scott bow vying for a seat vacated by outgoing congresswoman katie porter. the pendulum has swung from republican to democrat and back in recent years. you can see that one is really almost deadlocked, 50-49.9. that one is a razor thin margin. let's go to district 27 which stretches from l.a. county to kern county. republican congressman mike garcia defending his seat against democrat george whiteside, a former nasa chief of staff. that one is also razor close. the republican has a slight advantage, 51.7% to 49.2. that is a gap that still probably could be closed as all of the ballots are tabulated. di

in terms of the dense fog, the most of it will be developing in the central valley. but some of that is occasionally going to spill into the delta of the east bay. and i think thanksgiving will be a different story though with quite a bit of more fog if you will be traveling on i-5 through the central valley. temperatures will be dropping off pretty quickly. let's go to the north bay where temperatures will be at the chilliest. dropping down into the mid to upper 30s, where it will sound cold. and it is only a couple degrees below what's normal. just a couple degrees above freezing. otherwise we'll be seeing the low to mid-40s on the map tomorrow morning with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. temperatureswill recover, making it into the mix of the upper 50s and the lower 60s. a degree or two of what's normal and not much variation. 57 at half moon bay, one of the cooler spots and 58 degrees for the high temperature in bodega bay. the low spots into the lower 60s at 62 degrees. those temperatures, precisely where they are suppose to be for the 27th of november. a

so if you're headed towards somebody's house in the central valley to give them a little thanksgiving hug or whatever, just watch for that. other things we're watching is you might notice more high clouds in the picture later on. today, we have just a little bit of a subtropical tap going in. so you'll notice that through parts of the bay down towards monterey and even down into southern california. but at times it will be plenty of sunshine for you to get out there and shake off some of that extra weight from thanksgiving. now let's take a look at where we're headed for today. under that filtered sunshine might even be a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful sunset as we go through our final friday of the month. 64, in santa rosa. similar feel down here in san jose. everywhere in between those low to mid 60s in place. 62 san francisco for people heading to the city. and we talked about those low 60s in livermore for people going out there shopping. definitely sweater weather. maybe even buy yourself a new one. you deserve it. let's go and take a look at what we can expect as we head into

overall, the bulk of that fog is through the central valley. tule fog that develop this is time of year. very little of it sneaking into the inland valleys of the east bay. should dissipate quickly, not slowing down travel too much if you're heading in that direction for thanksgiving day. the fog becomes more widespread, more persistent by early friday morning, and this is when it could make its way through the delta into some of those interior valleys of the east bay. let's take a look at what we expect to happen for low temperatures tonight, which are going to be on the chilly side. a lot of 30s on the map. mainly mid to upper 30s. the exception to that, the north bay valleys. always the cold spots, dropping to closer to freezing. a couple degrees above for napa. one degree below for petaluma. this is within five degrees of what's normal for this time of year. even with that chilly start, temperatures warm to the low 60s. a 30-degree warm-up, considering the amount of daylight we have this time of year as we get closer and closer to the winter

we are looking to some dense fog in the central valley all the way through. if you're traveling along this path, if you're going for the bay area likely run in that specially late night in the early mornings after about 10 o'clock or so that starts to dissipate. but boy, you get up there and it's something else the conditions could be much better. we've got clear conditions. you've got sunny skies temperatures. yeah, they're going to be chilly. but that's going to hold that snow in place. and then it looks like, well, you're going to see some great snow, lots of powder, fresh powder up on the mountain top. so heavenly, you've got 22 inches on the ground there. the trails now, 14 of them are opening in their opening more every single day sugar bowl. you've got 43 inches on the ground. one inch new snow last night. 32 trails are currently open. and if you plan to head the palisades 34 inches on the ground and you've got a trails open there. so certainly a lot of stuff to enjoy. if you get the high country, for cash on things are going to stay pretty stable. you

we've got the fog developing in the central valley. what we would want to look at for that to see if we have any vulnerability here in the bay to whatever fog develops out there under that advisory. we don't have any fog advisories here in the bay. but sometimes that stuff, they could creep our way. and the way that tends to happen is if the wind is blowing in the right direction. and look at tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. those are the winds that are coming from the central valley in the morning, coming out through the golden gate, squeezing through, coming out this way. it's possible, especially for some of the inland valleys. you might see a little bit of fog in the next few mornings creep into the bay, but doesn't look significant. certainly not significant enough for the fog advisory, but something to be aware of for the next several mornings because that pattern is going to pretty much hold the same for that. all right, let's take a look at how things will play out for us in terms of the long range look ahead. where is it going to

until 9 a.m, the central valley solano county is included, so if you are traveling, keep that in mindsibility will be below a quarter of a mile. right now on live doppler seven, all is clear. your temperatures at this hour in the 50s or earlier today, and 60s. earlier today we got up into the upper 50s to the mid 60s. a frost advisory is going to go up for the area shaded in blue from tonight at 10 p.m. until 9 a.m. tomorrow, and once again tomorrow night into friday morning. temperatures are going to drop down to the low 30s, and that means we're going to see some frost. if you have any sensitive plants, bring them inside or cover them. beautiful view from our east bay hills camera. thanksgiving sunshine for the holiday tonight and thursday night. we are expecting cold frost advisory will be going up and this weekend. areas of morning fog followed by milder afternoons as we go into 620 this evening. 40s and 50s skies are still clear, but that radiational cooling will take place because there are no clouds to insulate us. so we're looking at getting cold right away. 10 p.m. you're alr

so this includes fresno, kings, merced and tulare counties again in the central valley. and then this also goes here from sacramento right up towards chico. that in effect tonight all the way into tomorrow morning. so please be careful of that. otherwise as we get you out to the national map here we are looking at some delays at newark airport, running 45 minutes behind, but no delays at any of the other airports. so awesome to see that. and then right back here, closer look across the southwest. and we are also delay free right now when it comes to that forecast for tomorrow. we're going to keep those sunny skies from redding to tahoe down towards san jose. temps in the 50s and 60s going down to los angeles 74, palm springs 75 and sunny skies. and on the national map, we are clearing it out across the west. if you have any connecting flights in the west down to dallas, you're looking storm free. but there is going to be that rainfall headed right here to the northeast, washington, new york and boston. we'll see the largest delays with some rain and cooler temperatures.

there it is in the central valley. and this is the forecast model.o show are these clouds that come up on friday. right. looks like it's pretty benign. there's a little bit of sprinkle activity to the south of us. big sur maybe, but for us it's just steady as she goes. this high pressure is going to do more than just a couple of days of dry. it's going to do maybe 5 or 6 days of dry. it's got the long range models are saying this thing is going to plant itself almost in a summertime pattern, which means for us, we're going to we're good because we've got a bunch of rain. we're like over 300% of average in the parts of the north bay for rainfall, over 100% for most of us, but south of point conception right here, they didn't get any rain. and they're going to have santa ana winds. they're going to have pretty intense fire danger potential for the next week or so. so we'll keep an eye on that. our fire danger obviously goes up because we'll have some offshore winds and such. but in terms of fuel moistures, everything's so wet. right. so you never want

we are seeing rain down in the central valley bay area.t of our rainfall this morning has been concentrated in one of the areas. you want to see it, the least which has been read her and sfo for anyone flying out of there. really light showers. misty sprinkling conditions this morning. that's the case over the next couple hours. as i mentioned by afternoon, we're getting your peeks of sunshine. take a look at this toward sunset time tonight, decent sunset for a lot of the bay area. and that starts off a trend of clear dry weather that we're going to be looking at into the weekend well into next week. earlydawn too. and that means easy travel conditions for thanksgiving, at least starting later on today. as for the sierra bring the chain's, not a lot of new snowfall up there in the works but still very snow packed and we do still technically have a winter storm warning in effect, especially for the southern sierra where we are still looking at some snow showers. winds are relatively light. we do have some conditions along the coastline that
