sadly, two people were killed in the north bay. today in the bay bob redell joins us now. and, bob, first responders are really trying to get that message out to people to stay safe. and first responders there saving lives. one in a very remarkable way. there was a woman who was driving her car in marin county. she says her vehicle hit a puddle, lost control, slid into a creek where the water was very deep. this is body cam video of a marin county sheriff deputy. you could see him and hear him breaking the window to this woman's car. you can see most of her car was submerged in that creek. fortunately, the woman was able to keep her head above water long enough for that deputy to pull her out and get her back to dry land and safety. she was lucky. two men were not further north in sonoma county. first responders recovered a man's body in unincorporated santa rosa. they believe he entered the water either on foot or a bike. authorities found another man in unincorporated calistoga. he was found dead in a culvert. his neighbors believe he is trying to clear that creek when h

welcome to nbc bay area news at 4:30. we've been telling you about this storm for days now, and now the brunt of it is finally here. we're going to start in sonoma county, where people are back in their homes after a mudslide sent this house floating down the russian river. it happened shortly after noon on west side road in forestville. luckily, no one was inside that house when it slid into the river. surrounding homes were evacuated until it was deemed for those people to return home. people are dealing with flooding all around the bay area. this is highway one just south of point reyes in marin county. that road is closed, but you can see some people taking their chances and driving through flood waters. the chp strongly advising against that. also in the north bay, crews were quick to break up these large boulders that slid off a small hill into the roadway on montgomery drive. that is about ten minutes from downtown santa rosa. and take a live look outside. right now you can see it's really wet. rain slick roads all

bay.ry light returns. in fact, not everyone is seeing it. but as we go towards 680, bay point and antioch, some light drizzle and shower activity, but nothing really south of there. the roadways are wet. we are still under a flood. watch through tomorrow night. 1 to 3in of rain focused in the north bay and this level two system bringing in the gusty winds. moderate to heavy rain today. minor urban flooding 54 in fremont, 56 in hayward with low to mid 50s in the north bay. so that is a lot warmer than we have been with the cloud cover. those southerly winds 11 degrees milder in livermore. here's the plan then for today, 630. most of it's in the north bay. look what happens by nine 10:00, it begins to shift to the south and east, and you're getting into some heavy rain by 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 into the east bay, south bay. hit or miss showers. and then by 2:00, heavy rain in the north bay. and that's where it's going to stay as the rest of the bay area gets a break throughout the latter part of
