high school students impacted by the devastating wildfires in la got a big surprise from actor steve carell. the office actor and comedian announced that he is working with the alice's kids charity to pay for prom for seniors at six high schools in pasadena. he says he'll reimburse students who have already paid for their prom tickets. the la area fire has destroyed more than 16,000 homes and businesses. the fire also burned school campuses. alice's kids will donate about $175,000 for more than 800 students to attend the annual rite of passage dance for graduating students. uc davis is facing some backlash for replacing its traditional men's and women's locker rooms with all gender spaces. the university announced the $5 million project last month. it's expected to be complete in september. not everyone is on board. citing safety concerns, the university says safety and privacy concerns will be addressed. in a statement, the university said, quote, all campus recreation members can use our universal locker rooms regardless of how they identify. these spaces are inclusive of members with dis
