police say drugses and alcohol may have been factors in a head-on crash in wolfeboro that left three people injured, including a child. the crash happened yesterday on route 28. police say 31-year-old sarah kelly was heading north when her vehicle collided head on with another car driven by 27-year-old tannah kurtis. they had to free both drivers from the wreckage. they as well curtis' daughter were taken to the hospital. no word on their conditions. sean: state health officials are releasing new numbers on the fatal overdoses. there were 120 overdoses. feint knell is flamed for 157 deaths. 32 deaths were caused by we're still waiting the results of 14 overdose deaths. erin: portsmouth police say they went on a crime spree that left several cars burned. adam carolyn and michael york are accused of setting fire to five cars. they broke in to three one. the crimes happened in the early morning hours on saturday, january 13th. michael rice says he woke up at 4:00 this morning to his roommate destroyed. >> she heard an explosion when one of the car windows blew out. she just said that wo

sean: investigators are trying wolfeboro. when firefighters arrived on bay street just after 11:00 last night they found heavy fire coming from a building owned by the sawmill marino boating club. crews were able to contain the fire and salvage many of the records and computer equipment. there was only minor damage to a boat storage building next door. erin: a teenager in derry says he grabbed a bow and arrow when a stranger tried to break into his home. two teenaged brothers were home alone last friday when s pond road. andrew kennedy says he told his brother to call 911 while he got his bow and chased the man away. >> so i went outside and confronted him, started screaming at him and telling him to leave, and when he eventually did, i chased him down the street so he would not harm anyone else. >> the police came from every direction, apprehended him, took i am so proud of my sons. they are very brave. erin: 31-year-old david mccumber of manchester faces a total of four charges and is due back in court next week. sean: two

that's a look at some of the damage that happened up in the wolfeboro area. remember, this is from the 1930's, but look at the damage across the northeast, the problem was the track of this storm typically where you have the strongest winds, is on the eastern side, especially on that northeastern side of the storm. as you see, the track of the storm went right up through central new england into vermont, which left new hampshire on that windy side. that's what caused the biggest problems with this storm, it was the wind. there was sustained winds of upwards of 121 miles per hour. get this, really listen to this one of one out of every three trees was toppled in new england with that storm. so some taller trees that you still see around the area probably were the only ones in the area that actually survived. pretty incredible stuff. thankfully no hurricanes in our forecast right now, though we sure could use the rain. josh will have more on the forecast coming up. josh: thanks, incredible pictures. jean: many drive d the short falls in g.p.s. as soon as they d

investigators are trying to figure out what sparked an overnight fire at a marina in wolfeboro. when firefighters arrived on bay street just after 11:00 last night, they found heavy fire coming from a building owned by the saw-mill marina boating club. crews were able to contain the fire and salvage many of the records and computer equipment. there was only minor damage to a boat storage building next door. a nashua man is accused of crashing a stolen car along interstate 93 in windham. state police say 24-year-old victor rosario hit an electronic construction sign while trying to pass traffic in the breakdown lane late yesterday morning. witnesses say he was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. police say rosario ran off after the crash, but he was arrested a a little chillier start to our day on this thursday. a live look at meredith, where the gorgeous fall colors are really in bloom. kevin: sunshine helps that. and has been a cooler start than lately, but a good deal of sunshine in the mountains, at least initially. clients start creeping into the west, and eventually
