adam shapiro has the developing story. reporter: the numbers at this point as we look at some of the video. 20 people injured. that video shows the man identified as the attacker after he was shot by security officers outside of the parliament square area next to the palace of westminster or what we would know in the states as parliament. he just attacked a police officer and stabbed him with what is described as an 8-inch knife. he drove a fouwheel vehicle across westminster bridge. two people on the bridge were killed. three police officers were also hit on the bridge by the vehicle. so this is a very troubling event. there were eyewitnesses, and here is what they had to say about all this. >> it was the noise heard first of all. thin just saw a car go out of control. and then there were people lying on the floor. >> there was a body on the ground not moving. as i kind of got point square, i started to realize there were people running about and security. i was thinking maybe this is more than just a car accident. report
