we are still dealing with unhealthy air and very unhealthy air as well in some locations, especially in livermore. you have an aqi value this morning of 215. anything above 200, that's very unhealthy air. san francisco 167. san jose 178. santa rosa below 100 at 97 for an aqi value. it's bad for us. but in butte county it's very bad an aqi value over 300. they are dealing with losing homes and loved ones and dangerous hazardous air quality there. so of course, we are thinking of firefighters and everyone up in butte county. so we are looking at the 8th straight day in a row of the "spare the air" alert for the bay area and an air quality advisory. we'll likely stay smoky through the weekend with rain chances for the bay area around thanksgiving. we are really hoping for that. we are going to show you futurecast taking you through next week. we'll see that change in wind direction as well as our rain chances. we'll time it out for you on futurecast coming up in just a couple of minutes. >>> mary, thank you. the air in the bay area is so unhealthy right now. several schools are canceling

air quality has remained unhealthy here in the bay area for the last week and as smoke and particles e these are flying off the shelf. here at hayward hardware store in the city of hayward, the owner jim wieder says keeping these dust and particulate masks in stock has been tough. customers have been coming in all day asking for them - depleting the store's inventory almost as fast as they get shipped in. so the limit is 3 per customer. wieder says these masks are in such high demand, that the vendor they buy from has no more in stock. he says that he doesn't look at this situation as a profit for his store - he sees it as a community service. <"i grabbed the last hundred cases that were available in northern california through our vendor at 5 this morning. by 5:30 this morning they were out. there's 20 in a case, so we have roughly 2,000 coming in tomorrow morning. as long as the truck gets here, we'll have about 2,000 tomorrow to get us through the weekend."> now wieder emphasizes the importance of getting the right mask. he says the n-95 model is the way to go because it's the mode
