airbnb has been adding more free emergency housing for the thousands of people who lost homes in the fire's. the company says it is has already offered about 6500 people, places to stay in. not just people evacuated, but first responders at some of the firefighters, people who need housing can fill out an airbnb intake form. and if you want to help, people cannot offer housing either free or at a discount and they can also make donations to air bnb and they say all of the money will go to that house and project. as people are escaping the flames. a lot of pets have been left behind. not surprisingly the san francisco spca among the organizations heading south to help rescue some of the animals bring the back and the shelter is waiving fees and the main time in an effort to make space for the animals do waive adoption fees for puppies. that's usually $400. the shelter says it has dozens of puppies who need homes and plenty of cats, all of them spayed and neutered and microchipped and vaccinate. she now we knew we wanted to make space. >> so we can alleviate our shelter partners down s

for those that have used uber or airbnb, the app, turo, works a lot like that.it being about cars or rental properties, it's about -- it's a car to you. so it's a rental, not a ride-share like an uber. i've used it several times, and in my experience, it's a really easy to use with app, and it requires similar identification and provided insurance details although it does offer insurance. but like most new technologies, it's the also somewhat unregulated, it's somewhat a new space, and basically allowing people to really quickly gain access to vehicles which we are seeing can be used for very nefarious or malicious reasons. and that's something that needs to be looked at. ashley: yeah, it certainly does. are there background checks done, all that kind of thing to see if someone has a criminal record and all those kind of things. >> from what i could tell from using the app, ashley, no. you could get access really quickly. you could get approved, you could rent a car. i was able to do so in many cities. as someone when's rented cars in many parts of the world, i

we've also learned that the attacker jabbar set fire to his airbnb prior to the attack. now, you may remember, uh, cnn got exclusive access to the door camera images of jabbar as he was unloading his truck outside that airbnb late in the night prior to the attack. we saw him going back and forth from that truck there. you see the the the the ring camera images. we now know that he set fire to a set, a deliberate fire in the airbnb prior to the attack and and place accelerants around the the the the inside the apartment. um to try to destroy evidence. according to law enforcement, the fire kind of burned itself out and the fire department was called, i think around 530 or 5 a.m. or so in the morning, which was after the attack. we're also learning from law enforcement that a transmitter was found in the truck, and that transmitter was intended to be used in order to ignite the and set off those explosive devices. >> anderson, i know you also had a chance to speak to the brothers of one of the victims. what did they tell you? >> yeah, we spoke to the brothers of matthew te
