eyewitness news reporter alicia nieves spoke to the folks tonight and she's live in the sat center with more on their reaction. >> someone the entire community knew a quiet man that roamed streets and didn't bother anyone and he was beaten to death last week and that was tough for the community and for neighbors there's some relief now that his murderers may have been caught. >> a week after the memorial was put up in the mayfair section of philadelphia an a week after the 57-year-old homeless man was murdered they believe they know who robbed him on lauering street and beat him to death. three teens. and today police say the teen have been arrested. >> and i don't even think the man had a dime on him or cellphone. they beat him for anything. >> eleanor london is one of many in this mayfair community out raiminged by this murder. she knew kevin cullen as the homeless man that quietly roamed the streets of mayfair all day and at night he would often sleep behind a nearby barn. >> he never bothered anybody. >> police got the break in finding a teen month who murdered mullen. minutes after

"eyewitness news" reporter alicia nieves reports now from millville. >> reporter: at least two dozen investigators and police officers were out here earlier for hours trying to understand what led up to an officer' pass troll car being shot out. here's what we know so far. the call apparently came in around 7:00 o'clock this evening that an officer's car again was shot at. the patrol car was near the intersection of second and 59 streets here in millville. it is unclear at this time how many times the police patrol car was hit but evidence markers on scene show what appeared to be several bullet casings in the street. there were initial concerns that an officer was also shot an officer who may have been in the patrol car but authorities have just confirm that an officer was not shot at or injured. investigators are not saying much more about this incident at this time or what led up to it. the good news again although a police patrol car was shot at here in millville no officer was injured new jersey cumberland county, alicia nieves, cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> well scores of traveler

alicia nieves is live in northeast philly where she caught up with one of the nuns who was just released from the hospital. >> reporter: we spoke to a sister to which is one of the four nuns in that very serious car crash. it wound up showing the nuns that christmas miracles do, in fact, happen >> it's nearly two weeks since four philadelphia nuns were in a head-on crash in delaware county >> it's a christmas miracle all of us are here, and we feel blessed to be here. >> reporter: sister mary anthony is one of the four nuns who were in critical condition. >> there was a lot of broken bones, stitches i'm probably one of the best out of the four. >> reporter: despite broken bones and a concussion, sister mary anthony is out and the other three in northeast philadelphia are all miraculously in stable condition and on the road to recovery. >> every single one of us feels blessed >> the bigger concern was insuring their crash didn't ruin christmas for dozens of families in philadelphia, the nuns coordinate to give gifts to children. they call it operation santa claus. >> still going to happen

evening to you everyone, i'm natasha brown, we'll get right out to eyewitness news reporter auto alicia nieves where she spoke to drivers upset about this tragic death. >> natasha people in the community are stunned by a series of events that led unto his death. many want to know who this woman was. police at this time are watching identity and likely in late 20s or early 30s. >> arounds 2:00 this morning police were called to the kensington section of philadelphia after a woman was struck by a kara long frankford avenue. the woman was found in middle of the road and the car fled. an a witness nearby told police the fatal hit-and-run here was more involved. and the witness said the woman who ultimately died was actually pushed out of one vehicle. an a silver f-150 that had a ladder rack with missing tailgate. and then she was run over by the car behind. it and that car police believed was a black dodge challenger. authorities that hour are still looking for two vehicles and may soon have an image of both. we're told police were able to get surveillance video from two nearby stores. and both ha
