the bigger problem would be the icy conditions in play out in western maryland, western derrek and alleganynties where a winter storm warning is in effect for icy conditions. a winter weather revisory as far east as washington county. moderate to heavy snow from western oklahoma up into southeastern kansas. then heavy rain and thunderstorms on the gulf coast, and all of this is gradually moving east. the center of the storm is coming up across the midwest, drawing warm, moist air out of the gulf and aiming it right at the eastern seaboard. clouds here will rapidly increase tomorrow morning while snow and sleet develop in the mountains. rain will develop here that could become heavy during the evening rush-hour. a little sleep could be mixed with that reign as the begins tomorrow afternoon, but most of it will be rain, and could be heavy at times. we will clear out wednesday morning and with the west win and sunshine, wednesday will be a mild day before another front moves in on wednesday night and then the temperatures will drop back through the end of the week as the snow continues in west

it often slows down the commute, but the snow will be out there toward allegany county west of hagerstown the noon hour. look how much of d.c. is dry. here's the dry slot as our stops tries to develop off the coast. so many hours tomorrow afternoon probably dry but now as it gets to the coast, grabs the energy from the other northern stream system, look at that. it's trying to wrap in a little snow across northeastern maryland tomorrow night into 11:00. actually our-month-old tries to keep it going into -- model tries to keep it going into saturday morning. look at how many snow it's predicting or boston. everything is continuing to suggest this will be a historic storm for those folks up there. we wanted to show you some of the snow totals, the heaviest we're thinking 18 to 24 inches especially west of boston notice the plus sign. down through hartford 12 to 18, new york city 6 to 12 and maybe an inch or 2 for northeastern maryland, northern delaware and parts of the jersey shore. here may be a coating to perhaps some snow showers for us tomorrow night and into saturday. let's wrap it up
