. >> reporter: allison and steve, it was a bit of a chaotic situation out here. so, basically last night around 11 o'clock, a bunch of police officers, the s.w.a.t. team came out here for a barricade situation. they spent about seven hours negotiating with a suspect who was barricaded inside a home further back along the 700 block of central avenue. this is central avenue right here and for seven hours they were trying to get him out safely. they say this man shot two people in annapolis about 9 miles away from this location. we have some video to show you. this was a double shooting last night around 8 o'clock. we're told this man shot two people, a 41-year-old woman and then a 36-year-old man and they're both recovering at a hospital this morning. he then came to this house on central avenue barricaded himself and officers came out here. we're not sure what tipped them off to this home and we're not sure if the suspect lives here but that is one thing that we have asked police to answer. and so basically they here to this house and for seven hours they were try
