amanda: what is the big risk?ou talked a lot about the fear the consumer does not pick up the baton. based on the savings rate, feeling the recession is behind us for now, what would the consumer disappear at the stage? >> fundamentals are as good as i can remember. you look at household income, wage and sour income, up over 5%. balance sheets are clean. situation employment it generates rapidly, i think the consumer should be fine as we head into 2020. vonnie: what would be the biggest upside risk? is there a danger the economy overheats? >> in 2019, the big negative was on the business side. we talked about the consumer being strong. the business investment piece has been quite weak. in my view, there is a risk that perks up in the first part of the year now that we have a trade deal behind us. a little of the uncertainty goes away. i think as the year wears on, uncertainty around the election will replace the trade uncertainty as the thing that drives them to the sideline. the first half could be solid. the sec

amanda: i'm amanda lang in toronto.ank of montreal is making the industry deepest job cuts in more than 15 years, a move that overshadowed the banks earnings beat. it is the second the canadian bank to report their earnings. us from toronto is john aiken, barclays director of global research. it is a deep job cut, it will be a big restructuring charge, putting off by fax for a quarter or two. characterize these cuts. is this something the bank had to do, will others have to follow? series ofave seen a restructuring charges from the banks. if you take a look at what the banks have been doing, they have been restructuring, trying to improve their inefficiencies. whether they take a restructuring charge depends on the depth of the cuts they are anticipating, as well as the timing. , it wasaround, bmo anticipated by the market that we would see a restructuring charge. don't believe we will see this with the rest of the banks this quarter, but you never know what banks may need in 2020, whether or not revenues come in line w

abc7 news reporter amanda del castillo is there live with late details. amanda? >> reporter: dan, the bizarre development has left a family without a home tonight and a suspect badly burned. it all ended in a home you see just behind me. now, we are told the county's regional auto theft task force tried to stop this man, 29-year-old raul anthony rodriguez in a stolen vehicle around 4:00. rodriguez then took off on foot and broke into a home on santee river court. fortunately the homeowner was able to run out of the house without injury. the santa clara county sheriff's office say he refused to come out. police helped with the barricaded man. the house caught fire with rodriguez inside. when the fire department arrived, they say the fire was starting to grow. >> by the time they got here, the house that was burning was fully engulfed that i could see from the street. >> we started our fire attack. we were able to find one person inside the home, bring him out and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. >> reporter: captain says the suspect suffered p
