french securiy services believe amedy coulibaly had an accomplice in the grocery store hostage. he told a newspaper a man from a paris suburb may have driven coulibaly to the supermarket. they found keys to a scooter in coulibaly's apartment that did not belong to coulibaly that led them to this other man. now there is new information breaking this morning. belgium authorities say they have arrested a man who recently bought a car from coulibaly's partner. hayat boumeddiene. prosecutors say this man is now being held in the connection with arms trafficking. this development just in. the investigators are following the money and now they say they is a data point that appears to show that coulibaly may have self financed his attack. this is a different strain here. the idea that coulibaly took out a loan. the newspaper reports overnight that coulibaly took out about $7,000. the loan to be repaid in five years. i want to get more now on all of these angles. let's go to ias soares. let's go to the man arrested in belgium. a man arrested for apparently selling weapons. >> reporter: go

i want to talk about amedy coulibaly. we just learned that he apparently took out a bank loan maybe perhaps to fund his terrorist operation. what more can you tell us about that? >> reporter: absolutely. the investigators are looking at the money trail, because as you know, as the prime minister said that is one area that asks so many questions, where did they get the money? many of them were in prison for a while, so what we have learned is that coulibaly, he took out a loan back in december. it was december 4th. he took a loan of 6,000 euros. that is $7,000. when he took out that loan, he asked to get it in eight days. that's the urgency of what he wanted. he then also asked to be covered by life insurance tied to that loan. the amount borrowed wasn't if you have to require an explanation of how the money would be spent. as you know if the money is not that much that you're requesting you don't have to provide an explanation. he also provided all the paperwork for that request, but he did lie about his employment saying

>> reporter: what this newspaper reports, jake is that inside the apartment of amedy coulibaly, officialso a motorbike, a scooter. they traced these keys back to another person not coulibaly, and that man, the man who owns this motorbike they are looking at now, as a fourth suspect. now, a person i spoke to close to the security situation here in france tells me the questions they're asking about this possible fourth man are this. could this person have been the one who shot the jogger the day before these attacks started. there was a jogger who was shot not killed. this jogger described her shooter as a white man wearing black clothing. now, obviously amedy coulibaly was of african descent so investigators think it could not have been him, yet they traced the shell casings from that shooting back to his apartment so could it have been this fourth suspect now that they have identified. i'm also told by security -- a security official that another question they have is who exactly drove amedy coulibaly to the kosher market. could this have been the fourth man. now, this accomplice that the

now, yesterday, as you mentioned, a 1ridvideo emerged online of amedy coulibaly. in that video he pledges allegiance to isis and issues an threat. he describes the "charlie hebdo" attackers as brothers saying things were done together and things were done apart for "a bigger impact." authorities are working to verify the authenticity of this video and looking into the veracity of his claims and the nature of his relationships. french media is reporting that police have identified coulibaly's hideout in a southern suburb of paris. they're saying they found a number of items, including cash and isis flags, weapons and detonators. investigators currently looking for any clues that his 26-year-old girlfriend and fugitive hayat boumediene may have been in that apartment, as well. interesting to note the dates of that apartment was rented from january 4th to january 11th. we're also getting more information about coulibaly's activities last week. he's now suspected of having blown up a car outside of a kabab shot and suspected of shooting a jogger. all of this leading t
