amy, john, over to you. >> amy: all right. thank you. today the volucia county school board decides if students will be wearing uniforms next year. >> john: after months of board will cast their vote later on tonight. >> reporter: good morning, john, good morning, amy. as you said the volucia county school board is talking about -- has been talking about school uniforms for months. for months there have been some protests although i talked to a that. earlier this morning, let's show you the video that we shot. there were a group of parents, teachers, community members out here, protesting not necessarily the school uniform, but that's among the things they're unhappy about here in volucia county. these folks gathered, and they don't think that school uniforms should be very high priority for the school board. in fact they're frustrated about a number of issues the school board has been focusing on. they're doing what they're calling walk ins all this week, every day before school, to get a little bit of attention. they're urging the scho

i'm amy goodman. tensions between saudi arabia and iran over the saudi execution of a shiite cleric have continued to spread across the region. on saturday, saudi arabia executed 47 people, including shiite cleric nimr al-nimr, marking its largest mass execution in decades. in response, protesters in the iranian capital tehran torched part of the saudi embassy. saudi arabia responded by severing diplomatic ties with iran. the sunni-led nations of bahrain and sudan soon followed suit. the united arab emirates downgraded ties with iran while kuwait said it would recall its ambassador to iran. speaking monday, saudi foreign minister adel al-jubeir said saudi arabia would also suspend air traffic and trade relations with iran. >> cutting off all diplomatic relations with iran and all air traffic to and from iran. we will be cutting off all commercial aids with the rent and have a travel ban against people traveling to iran. amy: amid the increasing isolation of iran, protests against the saudi execution o

i'm amy goodman. in a surprising reversal, a grand jury tasked with investigating planned parenthood has instead indicted two anti-abortion activists who filmed undercover and highly edited videos of planned parenthood officials. the grand jury had been set up to investigate allegations that planned parenthood sells fetal tissue, a claim the organization has repeatedly denied. but on monday in texas, harris county district attorney devon anderson instead announced anti-abortion activist david daleiden had been indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a government record and a misdemeanor charge related to the purchase of human organs. daleiden is the director of the anti-choice group the center for medical progress. he pretended to be a biotechnology representative to covertly record the videos of planned parenthood officials explaining how they share fetal tissue with researchers. the videos were then highly edited to falsely suggest the tissue is sold for profit, not shared. sandra merritt, ano
