stocks were boosted by a slew of mergers including aol's $315 million deal for "huffington post." asian markets followed our lead overnight but europe is flat. no economic data today but several federal reserve officials will talk about the economy. disney reports earnings this afternoon. the dow rising 69 points to 12,116. the nasdaq up 14 to 2783. cash is king in the housing market. the wall street journal says buyers are snapping up homes across the country and all cash deals....

aol is buying the half and to post. we are following latest there.s to be a positive day on wall street bring in the numbers through the morning. >> they are trying to figure out what is going on in the castro and differences go where there has been yet another fire. just happens to a 1370 clean and straight. it spread to two buildings fear of the big question everybody wants to know. is this connected to last expires? >> that is a big question. arson investigators are still on the scene. they are mopping up, cleaning up some of the damage that was done on these two units. it's turn on the backside of this home right here. but then i caught on to the neighbor's house. it did a lot of damage on the upper unit. some video of the fire. about 3:00 a.m. officer was patrolling the area, he'd call the fire department and they got on the scene quickly. and in thit quict into a three alarm fire that got everybody out of their units. nobody was hurt in this fire. six people are displaced at this time. i did speak to the fire chief, i did ask if this was going
