it's that deep red color you see from chico to bakersfield. watch how the extreme and exceptional drought is gone. we have made major headway on that front. i've also highlighted these areas in yellow. that's abnormally dry. the lowest level of drought right over eureka and down towards los angeles. so improvements there as well. but the one city that is now drought-free, we are so happy to share this with you, is up here towards crescent city. after those 12 storms, they had over 20 inches of rainfall, so it is gone technically right up here towards crescent city. now, we have a long way to go, but we've got to start somewhere. that again excellent news tonight. back here in the bay area, we've seen everything step down to moderate drought. i'm calling for 65% chance that we see rain chances increase as we head through the first and second week of february. so we still could see this go even better for us here across the bay area because we still have february and march to get through, which can historically bring us some very heavy rainfall.
