saturated north bay. and we're seeing some pretty widespread rain here. and there are some pockets of some heavy rain that we're seeing just north of santa rosa, as well as parts of northern napa county. as we get a closer look, we can see the rain is coming down from bodega bay to santa rosa and extending over toward yountville and farther to the north, as well as down to petaluma and now approaching novato. this is a part of the next storm system that will be in and out of here quickly. that's the good thing, is that we're not expxpecting ts to have a major impact. opening up the picture, we can see there's still several more storms developing out in the pacific, but a lot of them will take a more northerly turn and avoid the bay area after today. so we are going to see this wave of rain coming through over the next couple of hours. by 9 to 10:00, it is still raining across much of the north bay and into the south bay, but by 430 during that evening commute, we're expecting things to clear out. so we wi

of course the bay bridge bay is used to that. in the north bay, we tend to have that fog convening just north of novato. that will be a factor heading north in through petaluma and coming acrcross like yesterday. the carquinez is in the benicia bridge. we have a lot of fog registering for north across the delta along the delta. highway four has that same amount of fog or visibility may be a factor. no major problems yesterday, but it's creeping down to highway 24 and the caldecott tunnel, so we'll watch for those sensitive commute areas early in the commute. just in the last three minutes we've seen this, the sensors have lit up again northbound 680. overnight we had road work traveling up with a full closure of 680 through pleasanton, out of sunol and heading up to dublin. those lanes have cleared up, the sensors have lit up, but i'm going to watch to make sure all those crews are clear. on and off ramps may take a few more minutes. a smooth drive and notice, like yesterday, even though we often see fog through dublin, we don't

inland east bay. it is a clear start as we take a look live right now in walnut creek. we are in for lots of sunshine today, so it's going to be very much like the days we've seen recently where it starts out cool, but then it warms up nicely. just takes a while before we get there because we are going from 40 to 60 for today, a high of 66 expected in hayward and 64 in napa. a little bit cooler in parts of the inland east bay, where that central valley fog is having a little bit more of an influence and is slow to clear. so temperatures in those areas will be cooler and we'll see the same thing tomorrow. in fact, there may be some more widespread fog creeping in from parts of the sacramento valley into the delta, as well as the tri-valley. but as far as any weather systems for now, we are still clear. but the high pressure that's blocked all of these storms and kept them out over the pacific will start to move out of the way, and then eventually we'll start to see rain coming back into the forecast. t
