thank you, now we want to head to bill martin. what is going on?tures at blue canyon look like object october. late december at that. we are in a dry pattern. december has been unproductive. the jet stream been driving everything to the north. ñnÑ-ñnçkñnñnthis high pressure over the top of us and we are setting up for certainly one of the dryest decembers we have seen -- really the top five there. are showers possible for the end of the month. this month isn't over yet. let's wait until that's done but we are on track for a very dry december and it's not a good sign for the water year. the jet stream well to the north and look at portland, portland right here and seattle north. they aren't getting rain. they are well below average as well. this isn't a foot print of that. l as nina is -- usually not a big deal. this is -- it's definitely not a good thing. there is no rain in the immediate forecast. when i come back we will look going to stay cold and we will look for that next big stormt. will take a few to get us to where we need to be. >> the pow

. >> time to check in with bill martin to find out when that fog is coming back, bill. >> it's soon tonney. we look for fog to show up in the next few hours, especially in the north bay. the ground is a little bit wet. rainfall fell this morning. you may have seen it, may have not. a little bit of shower activity still lingering in sacramento. maybe just some low cloud cover and drizzle as best. you did get .2 of an inch up in sonoma. the basic idea is we need rain in the rain gauges and .2 of an inch does not amount to much. that doesn't look like that's going to happen, this week or this weekend. there are some signs that we may get some rain in here before christmas which will be some good news. here we go, long range forecast because we're back to that dry pattern. the fog comes back, sunny in the afternoon hours but that cool valley fog lingering and you will fine it. it'll start off slow tomorrow or tomorrow and it'll start to grow. and as we move into the weekend it'll give this patch will get thicker and thicker and head south toward fresno and bakers field. with high pressure

our chief meteorologist bill martin is in the weather center. >> highs today in the north bay up intohe 70-degree mark. live storm tracker 2 you can see current conditions out there. winds blowing out of the southeast in some of the areas a little westerly in others. 53degrees right now in san francisco. let's take a peak at what we got out there, you take a peak, you saw the satellite imagine here. as you look at that imagine you can see the clouds moving in. the next imagine is going to show us the system to the north. that's high pressure owning everything. as that high pressure starting to break down, overnight lows are going to get really cool. 29 santa rosa, 27 in vallejo. look for frost to form in the valley. don't worry so much about the fog but there will be plenty of frost. we're looking for things to be a little bit cooler around here. 70degrees, 71 degrees in santa rosa. highs tomorrow are going to be more likely in the low 60s for most of us. this low pressure center sets up north. it will continue to keep us dry but it's going to give us those cold overnight lows. you're

i'm sure i heard the president say he won't accept a bill that has multiple attachments? >> that's right, martinsaid that he would veto any bill -- >> is speaker boehner suffering a form of hearing loss? >> i don't suspect he's suffering from hearing loss. he's trying to strengthen his negotiating hand by combining a bill that's a job creator with a bill unpopular with his conference, which is an extension of the payroll tax holiday. the keystone pipeline is an interesting issue. it's one that organized labor would like to see happen. environmentalists are against it. it puts both of the president's constituencies against each other. republicans try to exploit that. they've lost the argument last week on the payroll tax cut holiday because it's a payroll tax cut that helps working families. they weren't on board as being with it originally. that hurt them a lot. this was really their way to strengthen their negotiating hand. they're trying to say in this bill is that the president should make a decision on the keystone pipeline within 60 days. not that it has to happen, but within 60 days. emman
