>> our chief meteorologist, bill martin is tracking the system. when do you think the rain is going to get here? >> probably not until tomorrow morning. the heaviest rain looks like it wants to be south and east of the redwood city area. with snow in the mountains and a winter storm warning, it will come in tomorrow. this is the current satellite radar loop. over the top, you see the clouds increasing. in about 6 to 8 hours, we're going to see showers start to show up along the coast. a chance of a thunderstorm as well tomorrow. rainfall accumulations could get up to a half inch, maybe even more, and kind of the big story is that winter storm warning. a lot of this rain that falls is going to run into the bay. the snow in the mountain, if we get a foot and a half of show it's going to help with some of the watershed. we'll roll it into your bay area tomorrow and time out your commutes. just know, you'll probably need umbrellas for a time tomorrow.
