bob redell, nbc, bay area news. all right, bob, thank you. well, mudslide has closed down a stretch of highway nine. this is in santa cruz mountains. eight roads closed between sanborn and redwood gulch roads. the closure started yesterday. not only are crews there cleaning away all of the mess, but they're also monitoring the hillside to determine if that slide is stable. highway nine is scheduled to fully reopen. it was at 6:00 this morning, but that weather likely impacting the progress there. luckily, we have a clear day today. a lot of people need it, but we've got another storm lining up. we do, and it's going to be in and out of here as we go toward early tomorrow morning and into the afternoon. a look at the flood concerns that still continue for the russian river at guerneville. that area shaded in red, are the areas dealing with the flood warning that will be in effect until tomorrow morning, when we are expected to be in the clear with those high water levels that do continue. but we have seen the rising water levels causing a lot

here's a look at our top stories i'm bob redell.ties throughout the bay area that is hunkering down for tonight's storm that is expected to bring lots of wind and rain. yesterday, workers with the city of san jose cleaned out more than 90 storm drains. this is just an east san jose sometimes doing this by hand, sometimes by a large vacuum truck. trying to get all that gunk and debris out of those storm drains. the city will also be positioning portable pumps in areas that are prone to flooding. well, the latest incoming storm is already prompting the nba to make some changes ahead of all star weekend. tomorrow's outdoor kickoff party at thrive city is now canceled, but the warriors say the visitors can still enjoy the restaurants indoors at chase center. and check out this new video. this is from lick observatory on mount hamilton earlier this morning. you can see there the roads covered, the snow piling up on some of those vehicles as well. meteorologist kari hall of course, tracking what we can expect. that storm coming in, bringi
