we're right outside the community here outside brentwood in contra conta county. they are back home here and they could see temperatures close to 110 degrees on sunday. and more fire danger and possibly power outages. firefighters are making headway on those fires and part of the scu complex now which is more than 75% contained and the national weather service warning of excessive and potentially dangerous heat that could last through monday evening. this is not only for this area but wide areas across the bay area and all of northern california. the threat of fire increasing along with the threat of power outages across the region. state electrical grid regulators say we should prepare for outages over the weekend and strains on the grid during the heat wave. pg&e saying they have to follow the orders for curtailment when they're giving mild temperatures also overnight and winds where you're feeling the winds right now. kari has been talking about the winds in her forecast and increasing the fire danger and possibly the need for more of those power outages. keepi
