that is used by the amtrak trains, goes from trenton, through bucks county all the way through bridesburg, croyden port richmond, headed down into the junction there, where again the freight yards come into play. so 11,000 commuters use the trenton line on daily basis need to find an alternate. work your way over to east the west trenton regional rail line or maybe the lansdale-doylestown line. keep in mind, if you are going to drive to work this morning, your alternate is that 95 construction zone that's why a lot of folks have been using the trenton line, because of the construction. chestnut hill west regional service line suspended there as well. here is the trenton septa's map from their website. see the trenton line here; what suspended. if you work your way over to the west trenton or maybe the doylestown line, as an alternate, this morning. chris, lauren, back over to you. >> you mentioned growing up in the area, it is much before your time, but evidently in 1943 one of the deadliest train crashes in us history happened right at that curve. where 79 people died in that train crash

through all of the neighborhoods, bucks county, levittown, makes the curve here in bridesburg, you got the corn wells park and ride a loft folks park here, and take the trenton line to avoid construction jam on i9 # a. so the 11,000 commuters impacted you have couple of options. if you still need to use mass transit, work your way over to the fox chase line, work your way over to the west trenton line not an easy work your way over, a lot of folks either take the bus system, into the rail lines or maybe get dropped off. but again there are options. the other option would be from center city, you can use the patco high-speed line into new jersey river line takes you up and connect with the trenton station. so there is your tip for the day. the patco high-speed line over to the new jersey transit river line and that will take you to up trenton new jersey. so the only way you will get there, the river line is going to be an active rail line this morning. not built for 11,000 commuters a day but it will be your alternate if you really must get from point a to point b. once you're up in tre

septa says trains heading to trenton are not stopping at north philadelphia, bridesburg and tacony stations and trains heading towards philadelphia are passing the north philadelphia station. there are still questions tonight surrounding the reports of projectiles thrown at trains in the area. the night of the crash. septa police chief thomas nestle just held a news conference to discuss the projectiles and the safety and security procedures in these types of events. he says there's one basic message he wants to get across. >>> we don't want anybody in our track area. we want folks to understand the danger of throwing rocks at trains. it's not a fun activity. it can cause injuries. it can cause damage and it can cause injuries to the person throwing the rock. >> the chief says that people throw stuff at trains so often that a lot of it doesn't even get reported to police. >>> some encouraging news about the patient still at temple university hospital after that derailment. doctors are still treating eight people and they say just three remain in critical condition. doctors expect them all t
