now he's back running the broncos operation and very successful as an executive. you ever think about leaving the broadcast booth at some point and running a football team? >> now i have two daughters in fifth and sixth grade and this is a great job. i love what i do in broadcasting. it's the next best thing to playing the game. it's kept me close to the sport and i get to enjoy time with my daughters during the week and you don't get that time as a coach, player as a front office executive. at this stage in my life i'm happy doing what i'm doing. if the opportunity presented itself and the timing was right, i do believe it would be something i'd entertain. >> the cowboys? >> the cowboys would be great bass -- because i wouldn't have to move. i live in dallas. their structure is what we know it to be. jerry jones is in charge and he's got two sons and a very capable daughter as well. it's within the family. and so whether or not a role would be carved out within that structure, i'm not sure that's possible. >> finally, it seems to me we have mixed feelings about p

in a few minutes we'll talk with john elway who brought manning to the denver broncos.st the nfl first dad, the father of payton and eli manning. after peyton ck surgery in 2011 and couldn't throw a football, did you ever think this is it? >> we thought it was a good chance, chris, just because he's -- at that time he was more than 35 years old. he's had four surgeries and then had this fusion. we just didn't know physically -- i know the doctor said he should be all right. he shall be able to live a normal life but that is different than going back and playing football. then i saw him throw his first time, just toss a few balls. that wasn't pretty. i knew he had a long way to go. >> how discouraged was he in that early stage and how discouraged were you? >> i was concerned about his health. if football was over for him he had a really good run. he had done great things in indianapolis. he flew into new orleans. we appreciated this because we're concerned just about his health. he flew into knolls and sat down with us and said they tell me this fusion is work, but i've

you can make the argument that the broncos secondary is a little bit of a weak link.le seattle is not really a passing team, it would not surprise me to see russell wilson and that offense take some shots early in the game to test that denver secondary, particularly the safeties. you can do that with how you choose to run your routes. >> greg, you are on a winning streak that would make our old friend steve sable proud. you predicted the last two super bowl winners, both underdogs. you can darn close to getting the score right. when the gun goes off sunday night, what will the score look like? >> i am breaking into a cold sweat. i am going to pick denver, 27, seattle 24. >> 27-24? with that score, peyton manning is probably going to have a better night. >> my sense is the broncos could not win without the manning being the driving force behind victory. seattle could win without russell wilson being the driving force because he is essentially not in the way they have reached this point. >> greg cosell, the very best. thank you for being with us. we will all be watching
