we saw the mobile home park burning as soon as we got off of the freeway. now, but we knew at the time was that it was a mobile home park but we didn't know was that it was mostly senior citizens and people who were disabled. and at that time, we found out that they were 200 homes. 150 of those burned only 44 are still standing today but nobody can live here because all of the infrastructure and underground utilities were burned away in the fire. one of the things that was the most dangerous about this particular mobile home fire was the fact that kaiser high school was just on the cash -- that kaiser was on the other side of the parking lot. the fire was burning up close to some of the oxygen tanks on the backside of kaiser hospital. two people lost their lives here in journeys and. the biggest difference between that day year ago for the winds. on that day, i remember the wind was gusting from what seemed like every different direction. the fire was just circling. today, the wind is very still. let's send it over to mary lee we have the latest. >> thank y

the fire is still actively burning in two of the structures.y're in different phases of construction. the two structures continuing to burn were the most advanced in completion. so sheetrock had been placed in there. so it's giving us some challenges trying to get the hidden fire in there. we're currently using up drone technology or unmanned aircraft technology in conjunction with the alameda county sheriff's office. initially they were helping us looking for any fire spread. we did have a neighboring structure on the 800 block of isabella. we suspect that was due to embers landing in a debris pile next to the structure. we were able to contain that quickly. the unmanned aircraft is helping us currently on the buildings with fire involved to make sure we are getting the water where it needs to be. power had to be shut off in the surrounding areas. one for safety of the firefighters, impinging on power lines, power poles, transformers that were in jeopardy. initially the report was about 2,000 customers without power. i can see they're starting
