mid-70s at dulles and bwi marshall. lots of sunshine across the region. we won't be dealing with cold temperatures over the next couple of days. i don't think it will be quite as warm as yesterday. we should be in the low 70s a little later this afternoon. nice start to the day. you can see temperatures all over the map. get it? 46 in frederick. manassas is 57. leonardtown is 61. i mentioned it will still be mild. it will be mild most of this week. we won't get a real cooldown until late in the day on thursday and friday. we'll be under the influence of this area of high pressure. it is high pressure right here parked off the coast. you will notice the wind out of the south today but it will push this into the general direction of the washington area. we'll increase the chance for some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm in the relatively unstable air later today. either way, there will be a lot of cloud cover. i think the morning commute is fine. by late afternoon, we'll see more numerous showers and thunderstorms. we have a cold front out to the west out
