it's good to be with you, great to hear my good friend byron donalds' remarks, i voted for byron donalds continued resolution to secure the border and, spending 8 percent. i thought it was an outstanding proposal for a stopgap spending measure, including chaining something you haven't talked about which is that tooth is a spending is mandatory spending. and mr. donald's' resolution ha put together with his group als had a commission to reform mandatory spending programs something that is a much more big fiscal problem for our country. so look, i supported that and i failed because all the democrat democratic -- voted against it plus 21 republicans. dick and perkins tell us they wouldn't vote for any continuin resolution period. they prefer the government essentially the shut down while we continued the appropriations bills. i think that is the wrong approach. we have passed 70 percent of spending across the house floor. the senate has passed nine. this four weeksville let us bring the rest of those individual appropriations bills to the floor that are substantially lower spending levels
