the lets get to meteorologist, carol erickson with the very latest on the snow, good morning, carol. what are we talking about here, will we see a foot dusting, what can we expect. >> in the a dusting. a foot is in the realm of some of the computer model's possibilities. could we be seeing more than that? could this develop farther off the the coast where we're in the impacted as much? all of those scenarios are in play at this point. the the storm is not off the coast and until we get it closer to that location, it is pretty hard to pinpoint. but i think we can pinpoint that we will be dealing with some issues. especially as we get through monday afternoon monday night, and then tuesday morning, and then maybe first part of the afternoon. ben franklin bridge right now though everything looks quiet. this is a great day to get out, be careful walking because black ice is entirely possible out there. it looks pretty out in reading. we have pick up that snow yesterday and snow is still on the ground and we may be adding to these totals. this is going to be a winter finding us once again

for more on that i will send to it cherry hill and my collogue carol erickson. you have to let us know when snow arrives there, carol. >> you know, we're really thinks the warmest part of our forecast coming up and i want to tell you it will be brutally cold. right now mobile weather lab in cherry hill we have 34 degrees. that does not factor in wind. you can see the wind. you can see tree branches moving and you can notice power lines. that is one of the things people are of coercing to be watching any of those tree limbs that can potentially come down on a power line. you don't need that with temperatures as cold as they will be. so lets take a look. we have a wind advisory until 6:00 o'clock tomorrow morning and wind will be out of the northwest, 20, 30 miles an hour. they could gust as high as 50 miles an hour, obviously in your neighborhood, secure any lose objects, tree limbs can potentially come down and they get enough wind gusts on them and power outages are possible especially near power lines when we see a tree coming down. as far as these temperatures

our team coverage continues with meteorologist carol erickson hoist live in pennsauken, this afternoon hi carol. >>> chris, it is, january we should expect weather like this in our area but it is the timing of this clipper system that seems to make it worse. it is rush hour but it is also coming just days after some of the worst weather-related accidents that we have seen in this area, right now we're in pennsauken in to philadelphia. in problems, except for the memories of what can happen on wet road in the wintertime. right at the afternoon school bell, the snow began lightly but it weighed heavily on motorist especially those up able to get sunday's deadly ice storm out of their mind. >> i witnessed it firsthand only to come up 295 and it was unbearable. that there is is a big eye opener. >> reporter: road crews too who laid down a generous heaping of salt hoping to prevent sudden horror of icy road, drivers can slide on but not stop on. professional bus driver joe believes road conditions are only part of the problem. >> the other people that are outside on the road you have to wat

carol erickson in the mobile weather lab. hi carol. >> well, how are you?ft the reading area. where we saw somebody walking down the sidewalk, and using the sidewalk as a skateboard really. because they were able to just glide down the sidewalk. there was little slope and it was icy there. where it is not treated these temperatures are right around the freezing mark. specially north and west of the city, be very careful on any of these untreated surfaces. obviously we're on fairly treated road right here, on 422, and we're headed up into the allentown area where about 30 miles away from that. let me show you a graphic that just pretty much explains what we are dealing with all morning. freezing rain, that's through this morning and then the lows tonight, and i think it is not just a problem today because any moisture that doesn't leave or evaporate could be refreezing tonight. so those lows dropping down into the 20's tonight could be a problem. slick roads and of course, the sidewalks. coming back out here live, now, you can see these cars, they're traveli

we continue our team three coverage sending things taught carol erickson. carol, you're been around thus far watcher have you found on the roadways? how bad is it? >> you know, not that bad actually, at this point. but we new that it wouldn't than bad at this point. but that said, we are out in east pike land, in chester county, and we're about to approach a hill. notice this road, in fact, i'll turnoff this interior light, so that we can see and i can see this road better. it is snow covered. and one of the things that you will find, and maybe you are the driver that does it, and maybe you're not but there was a car with its flashers ongoing very, very, very slowly, and had a stack of cars behind him. what sometimes of course happens, somebody gets tired of that, and they start to pass and that's a problem. look at this hill i'm going down though. you just have to hope in weather like this when a road looks like this one does, with all of this snow on it, that somehow there is a treated surface underneath this snow. it really makes you miss the sites of gra

we send things out to meteorologist, carol erickson, with the cbs-3 mobile weather lab, we find her in burlington county, good morning carol. >> good morning to you katie. yep, we are in burlington county, one of the last communities and counties put back into that winter storm warning. but it has been taken out of that, as of about nine minutes ago, the national weather service say no, more likely just be under the lower category of the winter weather advisory. and that's in effect until noon today. we picked up couple every inches every snow. that is it. that will make people who did not want to truck through a lot of snow absolutely rejoice because the roads are fine. we just came off of route 70. there wasn't a bit of snow on t these roads have been treated like crazy. now on route 206. heading out of medford and heading down toward shamong, tabernacle. at this point not finding any problems whatsoever. now, as katie will of course be able to tell you we still have some weather concerns. there is still a lizard warning, that is likely to be in effect for northern new jersey. the wo

we want a check on how it looks out on the roads, so we check in with meteorologist carol erickson live yet again in the cbs-3 mobile weather lab, hi, carol. >> katie, how are you? we are watching and we are behind a plow train we're on the white horse pike right now. and this is? galloway township egg harbor city. you can see that if you look very closely you may be able to pick up some of the sparks. they're so close to the pavement that the plows are picking up the sparks, creating the sparks. probably also see that you cannot tell one lane from another, there is snow packed on this road and four plow trains ahead of us trying do something with this, with the temperatures outside the mobile weather lab at 24 degrees, everything freezing solid. the plows are out here. they don't have a lot to work with in terms of snow coming down. we've seen some snow coming down fairly lightly. they're out here anyhow trying to get this road looking a little bit better. i think if we get some sunshine today. that will help, as well. some of the salt, that we were talking about how the salt came up f

we will send things out to meteorologist carol erickson live from the mobile weather lab, hi carol. >not that long ago just as a remind their this clipper system is diminishing and just about gone. we will continue with the chance of picking up still a little bit more moisture. we're in the market street area, of wilmington sidewalks, cleared, the road is fine but we have seen kids going to school with no problem whatsoever but just know in this many area that are less urban then this you are likely to find walking in the roads because sidewalks are covered in all that snow and trucks have not been out in their neighborhoods on these side streets. so depending on where you are it is a whole different weather picture. 295, flipped over salt trucks with two tractor trailer involved as well that was 295 south in paulsboro that is all cleared up, we have temperatures in the mobile weather lab that continue to whoever at this point now above freezing and 34 degrees and that is good news as we drive down a hill here in wilmington. but so much going on through all of these areas this morning
