(mark) kron four's lydia pantazes is live in castro valley with more on the victim this morning. body was found here inside anthony chabot regional park yesterday shortly after 6:30pm. a park visitor who was hiking found the body investigators say the body appeared to be that of a white malein his 20s. police are currently investigating this case. the identity of the body has not been released.this is an area where people camp....the gates here open at 8am... but we saw another entrance to a hiking trail a few feet away from where we are standing now.we did look on the park's website and we do know several trails are closed due to erosion, landslides and fallen trees.we do not know how long the body was in the area.reporting live in the castro valley, lydia pantazes kron 4 news.
