this is from cecil county right down into d.c. i want to show you the most intense portions of this line. there's one cell that's starting to cook north of chestertown. this will push into kent county. northern queen anne's county. annapolis and arnold about to get hammered. take a look. 800, 900 bolts. that is a lot of cloud to ground lightning. we're also talking about flash flooding concerns and issues as you try to make your way toward the bay bridge. rainfall rates have been ranging between two to four inches per hour. abc2's storm track. this will be pushing to the east. it's arnold, annapolis, high and beach. some of these areas, all around anne arundel, kent, queen anne's, get ready because this is a dangerous storm producing dangerous cloud to ground lightning lightning we'll show you bel air, those storm clouds rolling in. a storm toward the north. that will be pushing through parts of harford and carroll county. a high of 101. look at the temperatures over the eastern shore. dover is at 98. 99 degrees in salisbury. it's

now the strongest line of storms is impacting southern cecil county, kent, and queen anne's counties. it did drop quite a bit of rain and lots of lightning was associated with the storms. harford county, baltimore city, anne arundel and prince george's county are still under a severe thunderstorm watch until 1:00 a.m., but it should be cancelled and dropped any minute now. we had one badge of showers late last night and this morning and then the second area comes then with heavier rain. the yellow is talking about two or 3 inches of rain that the radar is estimated. you need to look out for flooded low-lying areas in parts of baltimore and hartford county. officially at bwi marshall today, about a quarter of an inch. that does happen as the storms came through in the last few minutes. for the year we are more than 7 inches below normal in total precipitation. today was a hot one, 97 degrees at the airport. that is 10 degrees above normal and just little below the record high of 101 set in 1940. 86 at salisbury at this moment. even at this late evening hours it feels like almost 100 de

some showers clipped harford county in cecil county, to the south, then dissipated. the front is still to the north. we are still in the hot air. we could have more activity. there are two fronts that have to come through before we are finished. it is still warm. it is 17 minutes past 11:00 in the evening and is still 92 at the airport. even in the mountains out west, 79, 77 frostburg. that is warm this time of night. the satellite-radar combination, storm activity in northern pennsylvania, into the great lakes. near sandusky. the front is still milling around in these parts. they still have to come through and push the warm air out. the next front will be overnight, which is in central pennsylvania, sliding south. that's slightly changes the wind. the real temperature in the temperature and to point is the second front in new york state. when that comes through tomorrow we will be done with this. when that comes in, hitting the moist air, it will still be hot. not as hot as today. it will trigger strong a thunderstorm activity. essentially, this pushes to the south,

this will go through hartford and cecil county. maybe a little lightning there. down to the south we go. we're watching one crossover the bay bridge. an indianapolis had a good downpour. that went into queen ann county. lightning with that. this is going to cross 95 and head just for the southern city limits. the sky is darkening because of this cell. not severe but it could put down a good amount of rain and also some lightning as that crosses through. then another cell that will cross into parts of the county will produce some lightning. this is a cell that has been developing. you may have quite a lightening show over the next 45 to 50 minutes. it is pitting down decent lightning. if you look toward your northern sky, you will see lightning mostly on the pennsylvania side for the next 45 minutes to an hour. it is a slow-moving cell. this is our future scan. this is giving you an idea through the 8:00, 9:00 hour. most across the area again widely scattered so at any point we could see a thunderstorm through the course of the evening. 91 right now. it is feeling

rochelle ritchie has more on the impact in cecil county. but first, mike hellgren has more on the frustrations over the slow restoration efforts and how much longer it will take. mike? >> reporter: denise, it has been a long, hot fourth of july for so many people, roughly 75,000 in the bge service area, who do not have power right now, including those right here in this neighborhood. but some are finally celebrating, getting the air conditioning back on. >> reporter: getting the power back on, after this deadly storm is the priority, with thousands still out, berg says it is shift -- bge says it is shifting many of the utility's 3,000 workers to restoring smaller pockets of customers, where complex issues have left the electric off for five days. in woodlawn, patience is wearing thin. >> i want them to come out here and do what they're supposed to do. get this mess out of my yard. and that's the story. >> reporter: in this hard-hit part of middle river, power was just restored. >> ah! moving into cecil county and they are moving south. some of these will hold together. other than that we see a couple just in southern parts of maryland about to move to virginia. other wise look at this, 88 degrees for our high. not that bad 86 is our average. so we're above average and we started out today at 69 degrees out in the mountains in oakland we dropped down into the 50s this morning. temperatures at this hour 86 in baltimore, 73 in oakland at this point. also 79 degrees in ocean city. you see the dewpoints have come down into the 60s making it feel more comfortable outside. we're in the mid- to upper 80s with a little bit of a breeze out of the north behind yesterday's cold front. this is what we have going on. clouds have built up in the afternoon with that front not that far away. that's what's sparking a few of these thunderstorms but not widespread. there's a few more fronts out there and they are going to be moving our direction. right now though a little bit of a break as we were just saying but by monday, we'll see the chance for showers and thunders

in northern parts of harford county in cecil county, light rain showers.r north of york and lancaster in eastern pla also tracking through virginia. baltimore kind of in between the worst of the weather. you can see the warnings and watches in effect. some mornings now coming out of lancaster county little bit toward metro philadelphia. south of there, isolated showers and cloud cover. still to pick up a thunderstorm in the next few hours, but then we expect skies to clear out nicely. it will stay warm overnight. not much below 80. southwest wind averaging 5 miles per hour. i pressure to the south. 103 degrees. 95 in chicago. this heat will be pushing eastward tomorrow. the humidity will be there. this next front coming in from the north and west will encounter this and trigger some storms. south baltimore into southern virginia, we will be keeping an eye on this one. just a hazy, hot, humid july day. 91-96 tomorrow with a west wind close to 20 miles per hour. on the day, look for the afternoon storms. waves at one-two feet. holding right around 81 for bay

so, again, flash flood watch in effect for the entire state, the exception being cecil county, but you'll of storms and maybe a little flash flooding during the course of your afternoon. maryland's mouft powerful radar does have a batch of scattered showers developing over west virginia. that slides to our south. you'll notice what's going on towards parts of pittsburgh, western pa. that's what comes into our area later this afternoon, into the evening. it's all accompanied with this area of low pressure over ohio. this is going to run along the stationary front and that will bring in the rain and maybe even some gusty storms. let's map it out for you. this is future trend showing us your temperatures that are into the upper 70s, a few spots not seeing the rain, into the 80s. but notice again the coverage of the rain starts to enhance going into the afternoon and evening hours. we'll eventually get into the 70s. a band of some very strong showers and storms moving through overnight tonight and then going into tomorrow morning. we will see some partial clearing with temperatures that start
