cheryl conner explains what happened. cheryl: the woman trying to run away from her estrangedded husband came out of this home and ran a few doors down. that is where two people were shot and killed. it all happened around 9:00 tuesday night on gray street in culpeper county. 49-year-old willis walker followed the woman to his home sheriff scott jenkins says walker shot and killed a 74-year-old man. he then "violently assaulted" his estranged wife to a point he thought she was dead. another woman in the house called 911. when deputies arrived the sheriff says walker would not drop his gun while approaching them. so a sergeant shot and killed him. the neighbors remember the man killed was the best on the block. >> he was the best in neighborhood. he took care of everybody. it's just crazy it happened here. >> the 51-year-old estranged wife is expected to survive. the other woman inside the house was not hurt. no deputies were injured. coming up at 5:00, you will hear more about the tense moments. cheryl conner, abc7 news. m
