i'm chris wragge. and i'm mary calvi. >>> a speeding car raced onto a front yard and flipped over. the search is on for the driver. >> reporter: good afternoon. the car has been towed and you can see the damage. the fence is down and the lighting and the sprinkler system wrecked from a car that flipped over about 1:00 this morning. the driver took off and it was caught on surveillance video. basically still rocking. >> he woke up to the sight of a the driver was nowhere to be found. he went to the surveillance system with 16 cameras and there it was. you see a flash blasting past the fence. that's the car crashing through and rolling over on the grass. seconds later you see the driver running away from several different angles. >> and he came around the corner too fast. you could see the tire tracks in their driveway and then he went to this house and got airborne and flipped over three times and ended up in the front yard. >> they found the vehicle was stolen and they located two cell phones in the car. >> reporter: it's not the first time that a vehicle has veered out of control.

good morning, i'm chris wragge. >> and i'm mary calvi. welcome to cbs 2 news this morning. >>> first a terrifying ordeal for a woman jogging in brooklyn. >> she says a man tried to rape her at knifepoint inside prospect park. now police say the hunt is on for her attacker. cbs 2's janelle burrell joins us live from the scene with more. janelle. >>reporter: chris, the good news in this case is that police collected more ef trying to pinpoint where that man is exactly leading to his arrest. it was near this entrance to prospect park that that woman was jogging alone. the man attempted to attack her, but she fought back. surveillance cameras capturing this video of the man they are looking for. you can see him first walking, looking over his shoulder before running from the area near prospect park close to the time of the attack. police released this sketch giving a better snapshot of what he may look like. investigators say it was around 5:15 wednesday morning that the man zeroed in on a 23-year-old woman who was jogging alone near the garf

good morning, i'm chris wragge. >> i'm mary calvi. welcome to cbs 2 news this >>> a fire at newark international airport. >> passengers were ordered outside. janelle burrell joins us live from the airport with more. janelle? >> reporter: mary and chris, the fire is out, but according to port authority police, there are smoky conditions outside. you can see above us, by the departure terminal, you can see the fire trucks. they are there on stand by in case any additional flareups happen this morning. the fire started around 1:15 a.m. in the ceiling of terminal b. one flight was scheduled to depart. 200 passengers were evacuated from the terminal while firefighters put out the flames. they thought the fire was out, allowed passengers back inside. the terminal was then re- evacuated. cbs producer nick fineman was getting ready to board the airline to hong kong this out. he was among those evacuated. >> we were all evacuated to just outside the terminal. we were told it would be 15 minutes and we could come back in, then we smelled smoke a

chris wragge. >> i'm mary calvi. we are following breaking news in greenwich village where police are investigating a slashing at a subway station. >> it's not the first time this crime. janelle burrell is live at the scene. >> reporter: dick and mary, still a very active scene at this hour. we are at the cornerrer of bleecker and lafayette. this crime tape blocking access to the subway station. this happened around 3:00 this 6 train. we're told that the victim is a male in his 30s or 40s. he was stabbed or slashed in the neck and this morning he was rushed to bellevue hospital where he is listed in stable we can tell you back in january at this very same station a 71- year-old woman was slashed here as well. she was left with a 4-inch gash, so this is a repeat incident for this location. as you know, this is the latest in what's been a rash of attacks and slashing attacks at subway stations across the city. the total number of knife attacks up about 24% from last year, over 1,000 stabbing or slashing incidents in th
