i'm chuck todd here in washington.e've got a lot of breaking news happening in this hour alone, including our nbc news "wall street journal" first look of the cycle of the 2020 democratic primary. we're going to have those numbers for you live in a second. you are also looking live at the white house where at some point we expect the president to announce something in his fight to get the so-called citizenship question onto the census. it does appear he is simply going to ask the commerce department to continue to do what it does. an administration source tells nbc news that the president is going to direct his administration to get that citizenship data through other ways, which they already do. we have no that what that means. he's actually going to announce that in a minute. because the administration might be thinking that it wins politically by keeping up this fight even if it lost legally. how? well, maybe might be frightening hispanics from even filling out the census forms. we'll have much more on this breaking
