brianne carter is in clarksburg with the case this morning. >> good morning. police will return to this area later this morning once again starring the woods in clarksburg looking for that 11-year-old boy. william mcquain was last seen on september 30. on our tour 12 his mother, 51- year-old jane mcquain was found dead inside their apartment. according to court records and search warrants, she suffered from stab wounds to the back. on monday curtis lopez, the man suspected in the boy's disappearance was in a north carolina courtroom. he waved his extradition rights and will soon be headed back here to maryland. police say that he is still not talking. authorities are keeping alive as they continue searching. >> detectives have received information and developed leaks that have pointed thipointthis portion of the investigation in that direction. it is not a hunt. >> hopefully they can find him in one piece. >> still hearing from police and others that they are keeping hope alive, that perhaps they will find young william alive. the search will continue later th

we were searching about 30,000 acres in the greater germantown and clarksburg area. we had dozens of searchers, both from law enforcement agencies as well as volunteers. we had searchers from the montgomery county police department, maryland state police, maryland national capitol park police and the maryland natural resources police. in addition, we had dozens of volunteers from the community who were assisting us. at 9:11 a.m., this morning, a canine handler from the montgomery county police department and a volunteer canine handler from mid-atlantic dogs located the remains of a young african-american male in a wooded area off of route 121 a quarter mile west of route 355. we believe the remains are william mcquain. we believe that william has been here at this location since october 1st. we have camera footage of curtis lopez, the suspect in this case, with william at a storage facility at the 13,000 block of wisteria drive in germantown. the footage was from the morning of october 1st. the clothing on the body appears similar to what william was wearing on octob
