nbc 10's andrea cline-thomas was at the vigil and joins us live. andrea? >> that wednesday night carol isom had just left her home just around the corner from here to head to the store. that's when she unknowingly got caught in the middle of that police chase. and she never made it home. ♪ ♪ >> a large crowd gathered on the side of isom's west philadelphia home for a vigil. the 55-year-old was described as a woman of faith who loved her family, she was a wife, mother and grandmother of five. wednesday evening officers responded to a shoot-out at 48th and westminster avenue, two cars fled the scene. isom was unknowingly caught in the middle of a police pursuit when one of the suspects hit her car. she was later pronounced dead at the hospital. carol isom's children told us how they want their mother to be remembered. >> loved her family most of all. family was definitely important to her. it's -- i still can't believe she's gone. it's like a dream i can't wake up from. >> the incident is under review. but commissioner ross told us just a few days ago, that

>> earlier we told you about sara hoda and david cline. i now have new information on the 17-year-old who died. mentioned often in notes left at these makeshift memorials. we cannot tell you his name is draifen mcgill, attended school of the arts in san francisco. school officials sent out a statement confirming mcgill's death a short time ago. 32-year-old donna kellogg graduated from san francisco state. the chick co-born woman was an avid drummer, loved the out doorps and cooking. been don whitnour described as genuine and talented musician and according to his page, the 32-year-old lived also once in anythinicaragu nicaragua. travis huff on facebook friends describe him as, quote, a musical genius. huff was in a band called ghosts of lightning that released an album this year under an independent label. nick gomez-hall from san diego, a friend wrote just this morning on his facebook page, nick was, quote, a positive influence on his life and everyone he met. the 25-year-old was an avid world traveler as well. cash askew, just 22 years.

his family bought his dresser from the ikea store in consha hocking, and nbc10's aundrea cline-thomas is live there tonight. aundrea. >> reporter: no amount of money can ever bring back their child. the hope, though, is that the settlement can keep other families from having to endure their pain. take a look at their little faces. camden ellis is from washington state. ted mcgee is from minnesota. and curren collis is from westchester. each boy was 2 years old when they died after an ikea dresser tipped over and crushed them. >> i didn't see him anywhere. so i went over and kind of pulled everything apart, and i saw the little top of his head trapped between the dresser and the edge of the bed. >> reporter: earlier this year, curren's mother recalled what she called the worst thing that's ever happened to her family. she joins the two other families and filed a lawsuit against ikea. in june, the furniture company issued a national recall of 29 million dressers, the same model that tipped over and killed all three boys. >> i think ikea recognizes that it made a defective product and a

nbc 10's aundrea cline-thomas joins us from near the accident scene. what are you learning so far?that school bus is traveling northbound here at this intersection on roosevelt boulevard. it was all stopped at a red light when that mercedes crashed into it. i talked to a witness who said he didn't even hear screeching tires which would signal an attempt to stop. he just heard the devastating impact. this mercedes is mangled. the driver and passenger pronounced dead on the scene. >> the time i got out here, i seen people run up to the car to try to get the person water -- try to keep the car from catching on fire. the guy had to back up because it was so bad. >> reporter: the mercedes slammed into a school bus stopped at a red light on roosevelt boulevard. the car went under the bus and the impact lifted up the bus and moved it forward before the car burst into flames. >> we were able to find out it was a 2000 mercedes-benz by running the vehicle's license plate. >> reporter: no children were on board at the time of the accident but minutes before it was filled with 28 teenagers. >>
