comcast also the parent company of nbc 10. nbc 10's drew smith and jesse gary are looking at the life and legacy of ralph roberts this evening. we begin with drew live at the comcast center. you have been talking to people who worked with mr. roberts? >> reporter: yeah and even at age 95 he was still a visible presence here at the comcast center. i was speaking with an employee inside the lobby. she got emotional just remembering seeing him just two weeks ago in here. he may be gone but the people that worked for him are remembering all that he built and what's still growing. comcast executives who were close friends and colleagues of ralph roberts called the 95-year-old businessman's death a loss for the company, philadelphia and the country. >> it's a kick in the stomach i think for everyone in this building and everyone in this company. >> reporter: roberts graduated high school and college here served in the navy and then decided to invest in a mississippi cable system in 1963. it only had 1200 subscribers but he grew the
