it was a 22-year-old contra costa student who appeared to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. the shooting happened at 7:00 and the police tell us it was a running gun battle between the gunman and a passing car. witnesses say the gunman turned to the man and his sister getting ready to go to class and the gunman opened fire on them. the 22-year-old was hit and the sister sped around the corner but it was too late, the young man died at the scene. we stopped by the scene and found a candle burning in memory of the victim and loss of shattered car glass. detectives have wrapped up the evidence at the scene and it does appear police were able to recover ballistic evidence and they are putting out a call for witnesses or anybody with information on the shooting to come forward. we are looking for updates on the story in particular the victim's name in this case so we can tell you more about him and also the search for the suspect in this case. for now we are live christian captain ktvu channel 2 news. >>> two people were killed in a car crash. it happened yesterday on fremont bou
