first off this area of low pressure that brought us the lightning on saturday in contra costa county, it is so slow to move out of southern california. copious amounts of rainfall throughout the desert southwest yesterday. still raining in throughout the barstow area backing through las vegas. and this is interesting. the low clouds that have been developing in the past, oh, let's say 60 minutes all due to the warmer air temperature over the open waters and the lack of a good breeze and the shield of clouds, look at that, that's going to bank off that huge ridge of high pressure, divert all the cloudiness into the pacific northwest. a few clouds may drift into the northern portion of our bay area. but for the most parted we are waiting for that low to kick out, high pressure to build in, warmer weather beginning tomorrow all the way through saturday. meanwhile, currently 56 to 83 at sacramento. dry conditions in the high sierra. humidity is low leading to high fire danger. temperatures seasonal at the seashore and into the bay. mid-70s will be common across the peninsula today. 79 in

the system that came through that brought us the showers and the thunderstorms to contra costa county came in over the ocean. it was tapping into subtropical moisture. that had moisture to work with. it was moving out. the next system is deprived. it is coming from canada. it is a cold system moving over land and it is not picking up the same kind of moisture. the cold low will bring in the blustery weather for your saturday evening. so do expect it to get cooler, windier and then an isolated shower is possible going foo saturday night and early sunday morning. most of the green showing up is around the monterey bay. can't rule it out in the eastern portion of the viewing area. certainly in the sierra it will go from rain to snow believe it or not above 8500 feet. the low starts to move off to the south and the sun comes out early on sunday and the wind will switch direction and you will notice a difference and feel the difference on sunday. but until then that system is going to kick up the winds. the wind advisory for the north bay mountains saturday at 8:00 p.m. until sunday at 10:
