. >> and i'm cristina rendon, frank and julie are off. a blast of cold weather is hitting the bay area and tonight we're expecting the coldest temperatures felt in months. this is a live look at the bay bridge and temperatures have already dipped into the 40s. a frost advisory is set to take effect in the bay area. >> mark tamayo is here. how cold is it going to get. >> this will be the coldest in some of the bay areas. some areas in the upper 30s at this hour. live storm tracker 2, we are in the clear. we have the brisk northernly flow developing. with that that's transporting the cold air across the region. with the cold air we have the mornings in place with a freeze warning with a purple shade to the north and south. saturday morning until 9:00 a.m. also up toward lake county as well. take a look at some of the current numbers out there. upper 30s for santa rosa and napa right now. lower 40s toward walnut creek and livermore. here's our san rafael camera looking out toward the bay. overnight lows will be back down to the 20s and 30s.
