paul chambers joins us from the crocker amazon neighborhood, the scene of yesterday afternoon's shooting with more on today's developments. >>> reporter: it was business as usual here at the barbershop although they closed early because many people are shaken after what happened. there are multiple holes where the bullets exited the building yesterday. we are told this building has been in the community for about 100 years as a major staple. in fact, many of the barbers inside including one that was shot got their haircut by the barber who owns it. multiple bullet holes are all that remain after a gun battle at amazon barbershop in san francisco on wednesday. >> i can't believe what's happened. >> reporter: you can see the bullet markers surrounding this barber's station. he was standing here when the shooting started, and a customer was in the chair. the barber didn't want to go on camera but says things happened quickly. he hid behind the chair as the shooter and officer exchange gunfire. the owner, who wasn't there, is still in shock. >> left at 3:30. usually it's quiet. >> reporter:
