mike cronin, wmur news 9. adam: thanks. the state fire marshal is investigating a fire in alexandria after flames broke out at a home on fowler river road. this is the same home where a 11-month-old boy sustained fatal injuries this past november. the fire chief says no one was home at the time of the fire. wmur' s kristen carosa joins us now with new details on the investigation. kristen: investigators spent a good part of the day inside looking for answers. neighbors say the fire is concerning and complicates what is already going on. crime take surrounds this home on fowler river wrote in alexandria after a fire tore through, damaging the structure beyond repair. >> there was a lot of smoke and i was concerned. kristen: this woman lives across the street and heard emergency flames broke out friday night. >> there were probably a dozen fire trucks and more responders, trucks from volunteers who were showing up. kristen: firefighters battled the blaze from the outside, crews were on scene for hours, the chief believes the

mike cronin, wmur news 9. adam: state police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in lincoln. it happened on main street just before 6:00 saturday night. the victim, a man from massachusetts, was struck from behind he was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. wmur' s kristen carosa spoke with investigators today, and she joins us now with the details. kristen: the driver, is also from massachusetts, and now faces d.w.i. charges. tragedy for both families. the accident happened on main street, also known as route 112 saturday night. police say the victim, 57-year-old paul gelinas of lunenburg, massachusetts, was hit from behind while walking with a group. he suffered severe injuries and later died. the driver, 28-year-old paul larkin of east bridgewater, aggravated d.w.i. investigators say larkin did not leave the scene and cooperated with police. tonight, state police and neighboring businesses say they feel for the victim' s family. >> we do know that people come up here, whether yo

live in the studio, mark cronin, wmur news 9. jean: firefighters put out a house fire in wolfeboro this evening. the fire started just after 6:00 p.m. on center street. crews say the fire started in the basement and a woman made it safely out of the house before they arrived. the fire department says it appears the fire was sparked by a propane-fired water heater. most of the damage was confined to the basement. a boy was hospitalized today after falling off a chair lift at ragged mountain. just before the mountain says a 3:30 p.m., father and his two sons were riding the lift together. they were about halfway up the mountain when one of the boys fell off. initially a medical helicopter was dispatched, but it was called off before it got there. the boy was taken to the hospital by ambulance for further observation. the circumstances surrounding nature of his injuries are not yet released. rochester police are warning of an officer impersonator. the department says someone approached two juveniles walking on hanson street in a cro
