let's talk about the flood warning cydney was just discussing.ydney touched on this but one of the concerns is when it starts to break up the down stream of the current flood zone could become the next one at least through wednesday. this is through tuesday and we continue to watch tuesday night and the flood stage of the river there. we had partly cloudy conditions all day long and now under first alert. look to the west, a storm moving about to our direction. as it moves through it will slowly pump snow in our neighborhoods. it will be a snow mover and very light snow. they issued that alert over the entire area. this will start at 6:00 a.m. wednesday morning to 2:00 in the afternoon. not everyone will see snow then entire period. it will be a neighborhood by neighborhood breakdown. berks county, looking at slippery commutes likely, looking at commutes more than one because neighborhoods will see the brunt at different times. only at 32 degrees in philadelphia, 28 here and overnight it will settle in perfect conditions for it to start. the snow

cydney long is joining us live in ocean city. people there are preparing to get hit with snow. >> they definitely are. the system still very much brewing out at sea. they can handle the snow, but what they are concerned about is the high winds. and this take a lock at this super moon. that's what has people here most concerned. >> it's cold. it's cold. >> in sheer awe of mother nature and the rock solid frozen shoreline at sunset beach, she and her husband don't plan to stick around for what could be a dangerous snowstorm. >> it was terrible. we want to go home where it's safe. >> reporter: wednesday night a system could dump 3 to 6 inches of snow at the shore and do so packing 50-mile-per-hour gusts. >> it's more windy here than philadelphia. >> we saw decorations getting take b down. >> for the next two or three days. >> we're going to be concentrating on rock salts, fluorides, heaters. >> storm and winter essentials front and center. salt will no doubt go quickly. firewood, flashlights also a hot commodity to survive the cold.

cydney long joins us now live with the breaking details.this case. >> reporter: there really is. it's pretty intricate and involved, but to boil it down, it involves racketeering, conspiracy and hurd for hire. prosecutors told us that dr. james kaufman was essentially selling illegal drugs out of his medical office through a motorcycle gang. this for financial gain. his wife had knowledge of it, she plans to use it against him in a divorce. but instead prosecutors say he hired someone to kill her. >> today james kaufman was charged with murder in connection with the death of april kauffman. >> reporter: prosecutors laid out a twisted tale, one of illegal drugs, racketeering and ultimately murder for hire of prul kaufman. >> april kauffman's desire to divorce james kaufman, he was intent b to rather have her killed as opposed to losing his financial empire. >> she was a well loved host and advocate. she was killed may 10th, 2012, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. a worker who cared for family pets found her lying on the bedroom floor. inves

nbc 10's south jersey bureau reporter cydney long is live. >> reporter: the family has spent the last several nights in an efficiency unit upstairs. they will relocate to a hotel tonight. the story began right here on wednesday afternoon, jason never imagined he'd be climbing into the engine to respond his own home burning to the ground. when he and his colleagues got the fire call at 3:15 wednesday as ik a fireman. >> i grabbed my gear and jumped on the truck. >> reporter: until over the radio he heard his own address. his wife was at work his kids at school. his heart sank. >> my kids i knew they should be getting home. when we pulled up the right side of the house was fully involved. there was fire coming out of the roof. >> reporter: he quickly found his oldest son, a junior firefighter. trevor ran from his school bus into the family home to save three dogs. >> the house was full of smoke he started opening up windows to get ventilation going. >> reporter: the fire was too fierce and the penwell's with three sons who had just adopted a daughter in november lost everything they own
