damian: marcus, i'm damian solomon. nice to meet you. lemonis: nice to meet you. you do here? damian: i'm the director of cultivation for medmen. lemonis: dispensaries usually pay from $1,500 to $3,000 a pound to outside suppliers. but medmen can grow its own for under $1,000 a pound. do i need to get dressed like you? damian: yes. you have stuff here ready for you. and it's just part of our quality assurance and quality control. lemonis: yeah, yeah, yeah. damian: these are the different strains. so, you can see there's a strain sour banana, green crack, tangie dream, euthanasia. lemonis: yeah, that one's probably pretty mild. it's a balancing act cultivating strains and catering to customers. how do you measure demand? damian: being tied to retail dispensaries, we're able to then get that data very quickly. we're able to analyze the metrics that we get from the retail side for the point of sale. lemonis: is it that sophisticated? damian: it's getting that sophisticated, yes. i'm going to get the feedback from the consumer that says, "i really want this taste. i r

damian: and you've got phil hogan meeting with lighthizer today. challenging all of this is that every currency is a pair, so there's a huge dependency on what happens in the u.s. economically, in terms of the market sentiment that drives the dollar higher or lower. the u.s. is the largest economy in the world. that is a really important aspect of all of these currency pairs. vincent: i agree. it is the same way when you trade fx rates. it's not one thing. you are trading to rates, and the differential between the two. you can lose a lot of money even though you think you are on the right path. alix: does any of that matter as long as the fed is in there? vincent: i don't think the fed is really part of the game, at least in the first quarter. the data is coming along nicely. there's no reason for the fed to inject themselves into the conversation. . i don't think they will at least for the first quarter -- i don't think they will. at least for the first quarter, i think we need to look at numbers, but i don't see the fed being part of the story. d

damian: i think it is.ly have to have something very bad that happens, and suddenly you end up with a push-up of 20% to kill inflation. we know this is the wrong long-term policy. .t is a bad idea we need to normalize. when we have paid a price, i think it will be more tolerance for hardliners who are willing to be more disciplined. alix: does this make you like e.m. more or less? david: i like e.m. more right now. but with the global economy, i think picking up this year with manufacturing, i think it is going to get past it slump, particularly with trade tensions diminishing. in the long run, the dollar comes down. all of these suggest e.m. won't do better in terms of fundamentals. you're looking at over five tors, i would strongly want have overweight to e.m. relative to other currencies over that period. good activeneed management because there are lots of potholes and opportunities. the certainty that there is room for both fiscal expansion and rate cuts, there's room for fiscal expansion in china, roo

nbc bay area's damian trujillo joins us at mt. umunhum. >> reporter: rangers had to close mt. umunhum road because it simply became too dangerous for drivers. the san jose fire department tells me they had to respond to a call of a driver who slid off the roadway. the car was making its way up to mt. umunhum in the snow when it started sliding. firefighters were able to stabilize the car enough so they could get the driver out safely. but two inches of snow fell on mt. umunhum. rangers tell me it fell at a lower elevation than in the past so they had to close the gate for the rest of the day. >> it was slippery due to the snow. we believe that caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. the rangers did close the road due to the conditions of the roadways, very slippery and hazardous. >> reporter: the snow fell on hilltops and mountaintops all across the bay area today. it caught many people by surprise. no telling how long it will stay on the ground, as it begins to warm up a little. some people decided to hoof it, walking up mt. umunhum road for about a mile and a half to get to
