to get back to the bay area, five small quakes, danville, what you read about this ? >> you have the main shock and aftershock, cluster in the main shock, he is starting to see the stronger earthquakes after the sequence, typically the strongest quake and then aftershocks after. that isn't happening. you can see the map, this is the strongest, right about here, this was a 3.6. a3 .6, 12:19 pm. the death as well, a shallow quake, over half a mile. 3 to 4 to 5 miles an hour, when you get a shallow quake energy closer to where you are standing and that's why you feel. 3.6 at 12:19 pm. stronger? in more recent quakes, 12:21 pm, 2.8, by comparison that was over four miles. you will notice a jolt with a 3.6 earlier this hour. in this area of the calaveras fault in an area known as diablo thrust, from what i've been reading it's an area that can transfer energy from the calaveras to the greenville faults and that is responsible for mount diablo's. all the seismic activity with that, you can see the cluster of quakes, the one to the north is the strongest of the sequence at 3
