so, defense reform really needs to look at the fundamentals of equipment. so, we had the f-15 part right. the f35 part right. we make good tanks. we make ships, but the individual soldier and this has happened even in the us military , until the us put itself into afghanistan and iraq their soldiers, the infantrymen didn't really get the best stuff , so i think korea needs to learn from their friends. finally, sustainment, so 15 years ago we had about 690,000 men. now, we have about 620,000 men. actually, about 70000 have been reduced already. guess where they reduced all of these people? it was in combat units because there was a strong lobby for combat units. it mainly occurred. everyone who has had military experience knows it's very very critical, so this is another issue that needs to be addressed having said all of this the korean defense reform already recognizes a lot of these shortfalls. the real question so far in the future is political will and the ability to be able to build consensus, to be able to tear off petty tri- service rivalries and thi
