when my son din din grows up, i would like him to love and care for his community as much as i do. this shows the type of character and heart dins has. din s contributes contributions and dedication to san francisco asian pacific american community has been exceptional and it is people like dins that show our next generation how vitetle is to be vaurfbed and give back to the community. in fact, he isn't done yet. more recently dins spressed to me other ideas he is going pursue and how asian americans can give back to our society. dins has been honored from diverse groups more recently 2014 dins was haun rbed at the chinese culture gal adinner with 2014 life time achievement in community building. he was also rigged as cfof othe year for community services in 2007 by the san francisco business times. dins is a true honor to honor you today. this is dins [inaudible] >> thank you norman and borebd of supervisors. i was quite shocked and surprised when norman called me and told me he wanted to honor me because as norman mentioned i immigrated at 16 years old. china was in a civil war.

our children youth and family coordination can be din because we with the voters passed this wonderful proposition c last year to enhance for the next 28 years a dedicated budget for family youth and children. that is our commitment and we are glad oo do it. the advisory committee is already being set up, but we are not waiting for their advice, we are going full force ahead because we know they don't want waiting list. they want more program jz have to enhance all the areas of the city. school boards got to be happy because not only do we have good colleagues to work with, but my personal commitment that the school dist rth will not be isolated from the city and we'll enjoy these years. as long as i'm there i'll talk to everyone about talent talent talent. that is what we get to talk about from small age kids to when they are ready to work full time, we are creating the talent louckally so no company here successful will have to go off shore to find that tal nlt and they can home grow it here with exciting programs we have for our kids. my first summer job when i was a young kid was p
