john brennan following the director of national intelligence john ratcliffe's announcement that the dnided a thousand pages to the durham investigation, reporting the justice department's further declassification's. former attorney general, harry litman and john yoo, welcome back. john, let's start there, because there have been declassification's in recent days, and the left said it is completely partisan's. john brennan is pushing back very hard on what the characterization, of what these are reportedly saying about his role in various things on the front end of the trump investigation. >> well first, i don't think there's anything wrong as long as they are not revealing intelligent sources and methods come about being transparent, putting all of the documents out there, and letting the american people of the side, because we are not going to have any investigation by john durham complete in time, doesn't look like we're going to have any kind of public report. when it comes to director brendan himself, the notes sort of speak for himself, when he was director of the cia, thought it w

the problem with ratcliffe is he has so politicized the office of the dni.ipulated information. he's withheld information from congress. that a large segment of the american people can't trust what he says. precisely at a time when we need to trust in our authorities. so i was at least gratified to see christopher wray up there who has a track record of shooting straight. it does call into question what they were trying to say. they didn't mention, for example, that russia is trying to intervene to benefit donald trump. they did mention the allegation that iran was trying to denigrate and damage donald trump. which was perhaps believable, except the way they did it, if it is to be believed, is totally bizarre by discouraging predominantly democratic voters and inciting fear in them if they don't vote for trump. and using the proud boys as a cutout. i find it all very bizarre. and it raises many more questions, i think, than we have answers to. >> it seemed to me a blatant attempt by the director of national intelligence and trump administration to seize the
